Brahiurija (stgrč. βραχύς – brahis = kratko + ουρά – ouria = rep) je stanje koje izaziva protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom TBXT (T-kutijski transkripcijski faktor T).[5][6] Brahiurija funkcionira kao faktor transkripcije unutar porodice T-kutijskih gena.[7] Brahiurijskli homolozi pronađeni su u svih pregledanih bilateralnih životinja, kao i u slatkovodnih knidarija roda hidra.[7]
